Hello! Hooman here.

I am a Physics M.Sc. student at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences. "Tensor Neural Networks for Capturing Quantum Phase Transitions" is the title of my master's thesis project, which I am working on with Dr. Saeed Jahromi as my advisor.

Topological Phase Transition, Tensor Networks, and Machine Learning are the main topics of this project. The project's source codes are accessible on the GitHub repository.

For my master’s thesis I had studied, learned and used concepts such as supervised and unsupervised ML, convolutional neural networks (CNN), auto-encoders (AE), anomaly detection, principal component analysis (PCA) and tensor network algorithms to simulate quantum many-body systems on 1D lattice.

While pursuing my master's degree, I became curious about a few intriguing topics. I like to carry out more study on topics:

  • Neural network simulation of quantum many-body systems
  • Neuromorphic computing
  • Spiking neural networks
